Overview

Jairo Villalobos focuses his practice on securities and investment management matters, with an emphasis on investment company issues. He advises clients on a variety of investment management and securities law matters, including fund formation, reorganization, and ongoing operations of investment companies; fund governance and securities compliance; preparation of various securities filings for open- and closed-end funds; and other matters such as closed-end fund tender offers, preparing proxy statements and drafting exemptive applications. Jairo also drafts and reviews fund documentation and agreements for hedge fund managers, investment advisers and private equity investors.  

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Jairo served as a summer associate at Faegre Drinker and as a legal intern at the Equal Housing and Opportunity Council in St. Louis.
