Overview

Lauren Linderman is a trial lawyer who litigates complex commercial disputes, advocating for businesses and franchisors during trade secret, noncompete and trademark litigation as well as other business torts and contractual disputes. Lauren helps companies protect the valuable trade secrets and intellectual property that are critical to their businesses, including by providing strategic advice and oversight on trade secret protection programs and implementation of clean-room development plans. She also provides business-focused and practical advice on managing risk and protecting innovations, with a focus on clients in the franchise space and clients that are developing new technologies. Lauren’s experience includes a part-time secondment with a Fortune 10 company’s in-house intellectual property legal team.

Trial Experience

Lauren’s recent jury trial victories include:

  • In 2024, Lauren and team won a complete defense verdict in a $100+ million trade secret misappropriation jury trial in Orange County, California. See Law360’s coverage here.
  • In 2024, Lauren first-chaired a one-day evidentiary hearing in Minnesota state court, in which the team defeated a franchisee's request for an injunction to halt the franchisor's termination of its franchise.
  • In 2023, Lauren and team won a complete defense verdict in a $243 million trademark infringement case. See Law360’s coverage here.

Prior Experience

Lauren is a former federal law clerk and graduated with the Order of the Coif from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Southern California Law Review.

Lauren likes to travel and spend time outdoors with her family. She also enjoys playing board games.
