Overview

Alexis P. Jackson helps clients resolve issues and advance their business goals related to property assets and real estate law. She frequently represents buyers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions, and also represents landlords and tenants in leasing matters, particularly with office and retail spaces. Alexis uses her project management skills to guide her clients through all sorts of real estate transactions, and frequently assists in negotiating real estate agreements, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, easement agreements, and other loan documents.

Prior Experience

Alexis served as a summer associate with the firm in both 2020 and 2021. She researched and reviewed eminent domain cases, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Security Deposit Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and had the opportunity to delve into employer liability for secondary COVID-19 exposure. She assisted colleagues in matters involving non-profit governance liability, social security damages and wrongful termination. She also participated in firmwide pro bono activities such as the Justice for Veterans Initiative and the Minnesota Anti-Sex Trafficking Project.

Alexis also represented the firm as a 1L Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Scholar.

While in law school, Alexis worked as an intern in Iowa Law’s Estate Planning Clinic and the General Civil Litigation Clinic. She also worked as an extern at Colorado Legal Services helping clients resolve issues related to their public assistance benefits.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Alexis enjoys spending time with loved ones, visiting new restaurants around town, working out, traveling, and completing random DIY projects around the house. Alexis is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
