Overview
Tom Freeman helps clients of all sizes and complexity to develop and implement advocacy strategies to achieve their public policy goals. He draws on over a decade of experience and relationships in Minnesota politics to help businesses, nonprofit organizations and trade associations respond to legislative and regulatory challenges.
Tom is seen as an industry leader on a range of issues at the Capitol, including:

Political and Government Experience
Prior to joining Faegre Drinker Tom served as deputy political director for Minnesota's House Republican Campaign Committee (HRCC) in 2012. In this position, Tom managed day-to-day operations for 30 targeted House races and 21 staff members. His role also included candidate recruitment, direct mail, radio, targeted voter contact strategy, precinct analysis, debate preparation and fundraising.
Previously, Tom was committee administrator for the Minnesota Redistricting Committee in 2011-12. As the lead staff member, he was responsible for creating and redrawing legislative and congressional district boundaries. During that time, he also was the committee administrator for the Capital Investment Committee, which passed the first state investment in restoring the Minnesota State Capitol among other important infrastructure projects of statewide significance.
While earning a bachelor's degree in political science from St. John's University, Tom was a four-year player on the school's varsity hockey team.
