Freddy Fonseca partners with clients in the insurance industry to provide guidance as they navigate complex litigation, regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. His in-house experience, combined with experience as a litigator in Los Angeles and Chicago, brings a uniquely informed perspective to develop strategic solutions for your business needs.

Insurance Experience

Freddy served in-house as the managing attorney for the litigation division of a Fortune 250 national insurance provider. In this role, he led the company’s California litigation offices, guiding a team of attorneys to develop and execute long-term litigation and claim strategies. As the head of litigation for another insurance company’s internal third-party administrator, Freddy managed hundreds of personal injury lawsuits and pre-litigation disputes across 16 states.

Prior to his in-house experiences, Freddy spent nearly a decade with Los Angeles and Chicago-area law firms, representing clients in matters involving insurance, transportation and product liability.

Prior Experience

Before embarking on his legal career, Freddy worked in the aviation industry as an F.A.A. licensed aircraft technician, specializing in maintenance of aircraft components for a major airline.

Personal Interests

Outside the office, Freddy is passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — he has a brown belt and serves as the assistant coach for a children’s BJJ program. He is also an avid skier.
