Overview

Trevor Belden is an Indianapolis-based corporate and M&A lawyer who advises public and private companies, business owners, and investors on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, and other strategic transactions. He has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in transactions ranging from $20 million to $500 million across a range of industries, including life sciences, food and agribusiness, manufacturing, and technology.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Trevor regularly represents Fortune 500 buyers in M&A transactions, as well as privately held companies and their owners in middle-market sale transactions. He also regularly advises clients on joint ventures and other strategic collaborations.

Finance

Trevor advises companies and investors on financing transactions, including private placements and venture capital and private equity investments. He has also formed venture capital funds and advised emerging and high-growth companies on raising capital.

Entrepreneurial Experience

Trevor brings the perspective of a business owner and entrepreneur to his legal practice. He co-founded a university-based startup, founded Indianapolis bar The Ball & Biscuit, and co-founded IndyHub, an Indianapolis nonprofit focused on attracting, engaging, and retaining young professionals. His experience outside the practice of law informs his understanding of the business considerations that drive his clients' decisions.

Trevor is also the inventor on a patent issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
