Indiana Employers Rethink Policies to Compete With Other States

Labor and employment partner Angela Johnson authored an article for Indiana Lawyer on Indiana employers revisiting drug testing, paid time off policies and pay practices in an effort to attract and retain employees amid neighboring states enacting laws that mandate greater benefits and protections.

In the article, Johnson discusses the legalization of cannabis, more generous paid time off, wage hikes and paid breaks. She notes that while Indiana employers are subject to less regulation than in neighboring states, they must adapt to changing market demands.
