Libby Baney Provides Insight on ‘Bad Meds’ Public Service Campaign With World Trademark Review

World Trademark Review spoke to government and regulatory partner and senior advisor to the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies Libby Baney about a public service campaign launched in Los Angeles called “Bad Meds,” which raises awareness about the dangers of purchasing medications from unregulated online sources.

“U.S. consumers are increasingly turning to the internet to buy medications because of perceived convenience and cost savings, but they are unaware of the risks,” Baney explained. “The Bad Meds PSA shows just how hard it is to spot a fake and directs consumers to tools that can help consumers verify that they’re buying from a legitimate site,” she added.
