Indiana’s Pro Bono Reporting System Reflects Growing Participation

In their “Pro Bono Matters” column for The Indiana Lawyer, associates Kristina Coleman and Emily Kile-Maxwell describe how Indiana’s pro bono reporting requirement, Indiana Rule of Professional Conduct 6.7, has helped the state better track the amount of pro bono legal services being provided, as well as encourage more voluntary pro bono service. In their article, Coleman and Kile-Maxwell note that while in 2018 – the most recent year for which the data is available – total financial contributions were down from 2017, total pro bono hours increased by 27,521 hours.
