Matt Levy Speaks with Twin Cities Business about COVID-19’s Impact on Contracts

Matt Levy was interviewed by Twin Cities Business  for a story about the coronavirus’ impact on business contracts. Specifically, Levy discussed the realm of force majeure being claimed by businesses due to the virus’ impact with regard to companies meeting contractual obligations.

“If you are a seller of goods and your contract is governed by U.S. law or Minnesota law, you may have some rights to claim force majeure by statute, but they might be more limited than what you put in a contract.”

Furthermore, Levy described the importance of retaining customer relationships and using proactive communication, as a means of resolving supply shortages during the coronavirus situation.
