Drew Soshnick Voices Approval of Proposed Child Support Guideline Revisions

The Indiana Supreme Court will soon be weighing changes to the state's child support guidelines, and attorneys—including Drew Soshnick, Faegre Baker Daniels partner—have been quick to endorse the proposed revisions. As detailed in The Indiana Lawyer, the Domestic Relations Committee of the Indiana Judicial Conference is drafting new language to address a number of issues, including tweaks designed to "reflect the expanded availability of public health insurance" and "bring the child support rules in line with caselaw as well as federal and state law."

"I think they will be helpful," Soshnick said of the proposed changes, which are set to be submitted to the Supreme Court in the fall. "I think they start to get at some areas of high conflict and disputes."
