As Climate Changes So Does Focus On Methane Emissions

In March 2014, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released guidance on steps to reduce methane gas emissions. The EPA guidance document noted that methane accounts for an estimated nine percent of greenhouse gas emissions and is far more potent than carbon dioxide.

In an article featured in Law360, FaegreBD Consulting principal Andrew Wheeler and managing advisor Luke Tomanelli, along with FaegreBD partner Chris Dolan, offered an in-depth explanation of the proposed guidance, including which industries will be most affected. The agriculture industry in particular will be greatly affected, as it's estimated that 36 percent of methane emissions originate in the ag industry.
