ColoradoBiz Features Doug Wright's Advice to Potential Public Company Directors

In an article authored for ColoradoBiz, director of the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Taylor Simonton featured the advice of FaegreBD partner, Doug Wright on the importance of understanding the ways to protect oneself against the potential of facing major liabilities and lawsuits when serving on a public company's board of directors.

Among several points of advice, Wright recommends that director candidates perform their own "reverse diligence," suggesting they read the company's filings on the Secutiries & Exchange Commision's EDGAR website, and also visit company's website. He also recommends analyzing the company's financial statements, comparing them to industry peers and looking for trends.
