Cultivating Partnerships Between Law Firms and Startups: John Marcil in Boulder County Business Report

In an interview with the Boulder County Business Report, Faegre Baker Daniels Boulder office leader John Marcil talked about creative ways law firms are positioning themselves as partners with local clients. Marcil said, "We are trying to engage the community in an industry partnership as a way to (spur) business development and increase our visibility, but also to help promote and educate small businesses and to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses."

As Boulder is a hub for the natural-food industry and a flourishing life science industry, the firm's Boulder office will be sponsoring a food law seminar as well as planning a life science event. "It's definitely a way to build our reputation, but also to be a good citizen of the community," Mercil said.

"It's a lot of fun," he said. "It's fast-paced; and it's great to see Boulder be recognized nationally for its technology startups and organic and natural-foods industry."
