Compliance Made Practical: Implementing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act in Your Workplace

Labor and employment associate Aaron Vance gave a presentation for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 62nd Indiana HR Conference titled “Compliance Made Practical: Implementing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act in Your Workplace.”

Vance provided an overview of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) which requires employers to make reasonable accommodations to known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions. Vance discussed what constitutes a “reasonable accommodation,” and how the PWFA works in practice for employers and employees.
