Speaking Engagement Recap
Overview
Government and regulatory counsel Beata Spuhler spoke at a panel titled “Tracing Content in Imported Products: Legal Requirements and Practical Strategies” at Case Western University School of Law’s Tenth Trade Law Fall Update.
Spuhler and the panelists discussed how tariffs and new trade duties are prompting a renewed focus on enforcement, particularly in supply chain traceability. The panel explained the role of origin in duty assessments and enforcement, the sometimes-inconsistent rules of origin that apply, and the problems of proving origin and content in a globally connected supply chain.
