COVID-19 Impacts on Product Liability and Class Actions

ABA Environmental & Energy, Mass Torts, and Products Liability Litigation Committees’ Joint Virtual Regional CLE Program

Overview

Jessica Cox is speaking on “COVID-19 Impacts on Product Liability and Class Actions” at the ABA Environmental & Energy, Mass Torts, and Products Liability Litigation Committees’ Joint Virtual Regional CLE Program on January 28, 2021.

Jessica will join economist Lisa J. Cameron, Ph.D, of the Brattle Group and Kate Spelman of Jenner & Block on a panel discussion moderated by Munjot Sahu of Eli Lilly and Company. The panel is presenting a primer on immunity afforded under the PREP Act for COVID-related products, an overview of the current litigation landscape, and what damages could look like in those cases where immunity is not available.

The 2021 Joint Virtual Regional CLE Program, presented by the Section of Litigation’s Environmental & Energy, Mass Torts, and Products Liability Litigation Committees, is a CLE program that brings in-house counsel, members of the judiciary and academia, and plaintiffs’ and defense counsel from across the country together.
