Telemedicine and the Law: Where are We Now?

Overview

Chicago partner Jennifer Breuer will participate in a panel discussion for a webinar titled “Telemedicine and the Law: Where are We Now?” presented by the CDC and American Health Lawyers Assocation (AHLA). The webinar will highlight the recent rapid growth of telemedicine in response to strides in technology, growing commercial insurance coverage and a continued short supply of physicians.

The program will explore the growth of federal and state laws related to telemedicine and provide an overview of the trajectory of telemedicine-related federal and state laws, highlight the existing legal framework, and provide perspectives on what may be on the legislative front. Panelists will also highlight innovative ways to structure telemedicine service arrangements to ensure compliance with traditional state and local health care laws.

This is the final webinar in the CDC/AHLA series “The Intersection of Public Health and Healthcare in the 21st Century: Hot Topics and Practice Tips.”
