Jill Bronson, Mona Ghude and Alfy Putnam Recognized as Influencers of Law

Drinker Biddle attorneys, for the second year in a row, have been recognized by The Philadelphia Inquirer as legal industry leaders in their respective areas of expertise. The attorneys from the firm that were awarded this year include Jill Bronson, Corporate, Mona Ghude, Tax/ERISA, and Alfy Putnam, Lifetime Achievement. Honorees were selected based on professional accomplishments, community involvement and their overall impact on the Philadelphia region.

Jill E. Bronson is Regional Partner in Charge of the Philadelphia office and a leader in the firm’s Corporate Finance team. She is a member of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Committee, a mentor in our Opt-In Mentoring Program, and is a teacher in Drinker Biddle’s training program. She regularly advises clients on complex financing transactions, including those with cross-border components and unusual collateral issues. In the past year, she has worked on financing a conversion to a non-profit from a for-profit entity, as well as a billion dollar cross-border acquisition financing.

Mona Ghude is an ERISA attorney and a vice chair of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group at Drinker Biddle. Mona assists both publicly-held and private employers with broad-based employee benefit, equity compensation and deferred compensation matters. Mona’s experience spans a variety of industries, including manufacturing, utilities, services and retail industries, and extends to special issues relating to union employees (such as withdrawal liability), foreign employees (with respect to participation in U.S. qualified and nonqualified plans) and issues resulting from employee classification (or misclassification).

Alfred W. Putnam is a trial and appellate litigator who served as Chairman of the firm from 2005 to 2015. He has won two “million dollar” jury verdicts in federal commercial cases, and has tried cases not only in federal court but also in the Common Pleas Courts and/or Orphans Courts. He is also experienced in commercial arbitration proceedings. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Law Institute.
