Bylund, Mewaldt and Seidel Named 2016 BTI Client Service All-Stars

Three partners from Faegre Baker Daniels have been selected as BTI Client Service All-Stars for 2016. FaegreBD’s All-Star attorneys are Jacob Bylund, Jennifer Mewaldt and Amy Seidel. In addition, Bylund was noted as both an MVP and a Super All-Star, designated for attorneys who have been recognized multiple consecutive years and who have received recognition from multiple influential general counsel and decision makers.

The All-Star designation is reserved for attorneys who stand out with corporate counsel as providing the best in client service. Clients recognize attorneys who demonstrate superior client focus and thought leadership, have an exceptional ability to understand their client's business, consistently exceed clients' expectations, possess excellent legal skills and depth of knowledge, and deliver outstanding results. Only 312 attorneys were selected for recognition in 2016.

Jacob Bylund has been named a Client Service All-Star for the fourth time. He is a trial lawyer and a leader of the firm's food and agriculture industry team. He is active in the National Grain and Feed Association and also represents clients before the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of General Counsel, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Jacob is noted by clients for his deep knowledge of the food and agriculture industry. He is consistently ranked in Chambers USA for general and commercial litigation. Jennifer Mewaldt practices in the areas of debt and equity financing, business acquisitions and dispositions, securities regulation, and general corporate counseling. Jennifer has represented institutional lenders and venture capital and other investors, as well as borrowers and issuers, in numerous secured and unsecured private debt and equity financings and Rule 144A transactions. In connection with her financing practice, she has developed an expertise in subordination and inter-creditor issues. She was noted for her work in capital markets and securities in the BTI Client Service All-Star survey, and was nominated by a leading wholesale trade company. 

Amy Seidel was noted for her work in corporate law, and was nominated by a leading energy company. Her practice involves advising public companies on SEC reporting requirements, stock exchange listing standards, executive compensation issues, disclosure issues and general corporate governance matters. She also has experience in many areas of corporate representation, including public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate counseling.
