Buy Buy Baby favorably resolved a putative wage and hour class and representative PAGA action brought by a former sales associate on behalf of all current and former nonexempt employees in California. The lawsuit included meal and rest break, minimum wage, overtime and business expense claims, including novel claims relating to employees’ use of personal mobile devices.
Our firm represented Buy Buy Baby in the matter, and successfully limited the scope of discovery. The parties attended a private mediation and reached a favorable class-wide settlement. The matter obtained final approval in February 2019.
