Tyler Young focuses on litigation for food and beverage companies and complex class action defense.
Food Company Litigation
Tyler represents food and beverage companies in consumer class actions, claims brought by nonprofit organizations, commercial disputes with vendors and suppliers, and litigations related to product recalls. He applies his regulatory knowledge and industry experience to help clients achieve their litigation goals. Tyler frequently writes and speaks on food litigation topics and is a leader of the firm’s food class action team.
Class Action Defense
Tyler partners with companies to defend against complex class actions, particularly consumer-fraud class actions. He has defended class actions involving food and beverage products, dental products, credit cards and toll roads. Tyler has been recognized by Minnesota Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Class Action and Mass Torts since 2017.
Pro Bono
He has a robust and longstanding pro bono practice. Tyler has led teams that have obtained asylum for numerous refugees, helped parents regain custody of their children, and won disability benefits for military service members. He also leads a team of lawyers representing a death-row inmate in challenging his sentence.
Personal Interests
Tyler spends his spare time visiting zoos and museums with his wife and two children. A native Minnesotan, Tyler enjoys camping, canoeing and being outdoors.
