Overview

Paige Wynkoop assists clients with complex labor and employment regulations and disputes.

Prior Experience

During law school, Paige gained broad experience in litigation, labor and employment, and judicial practice through a series of legal internships and research roles. As a summer associate with the firm in 2024, she drafted an NLRB position statement and employment law client alert, conducted extensive research to inform a complex real estate litigation strategy, and prepared memoranda addressing issues such as FLSA exemptions, class certification, indemnity clauses, piercing the corporate veil, and tort law retroactivity. As a research assistant to Professors Andrew Hammond, Victor Quintanilla and Kenneth Dau-Schmidt at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Paige conducted in-depth statutory and regulatory analysis on energy and poverty programs, applied data-driven insights from Indiana court decisions to shape approaches to remote hearings, and drafted chapter-length outlines for a practitioner’s guide to Indiana trial and appellate procedure.

Paige also served as a judicial extern in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, where she worked in the chambers of the Honorable Kellie M. Barr and the Honorable James P. Hanlon. In those roles, Paige drafted orders on motions to compel arbitration and for summary judgment, prepared memoranda on discovery, professional conduct, and Section 1983 claims, and observed hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.

Before attending law school, Paige served as a 911 Dispatcher for the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, coordinating emergency responses and developing exceptional communication and crisis-management skills. She also worked with vulnerable youth and families as an assistant family teacher at the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home and as a client advocate with the YWCA Domestic Violence Program, experiences that strengthened her commitment to client-centered advocacy and collaboration under pressure.

Personal Interests

Paige is currently studying for her certification in wine appreciation. When she isn’t enjoying a glass of pinot noir, she loves to hike — she’s visited 22 National Parks — and sitting and solving a good crossword puzzle. In her free time, Paige can often be spotted at her local farmer’s market, picking up ingredients to explore new recipes, or browsing antique shops for the latest treasure for her turn-of-the-century home.
