Johnathon Webb provides tactical advice to intellectual property clients in fields including medical, manufacturing and consumer devices. His areas of focus include drafting and prosecuting patent applications; preparing freedom-to-operate, landscape and patentability searches and opinions; and collaborating with foreign counsel on Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications.

With a technical education in biophysics, Johnathon readily grasps highly complex inventions, helping clients plot a straightforward course to their goals.

Previous Experience

Johnathon last worked as a patent attorney for one of the oldest law firms in Tennessee. In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, he assisted in patent litigation, including pre-suit investigations, complaints, motions practice and claim construction. Prior to that, Johnathon worked as a patent practitioner for Lisa Patent Clinic, counseling clients on claim and IP strategies, as well as patent portfolio management. Johnathon started off as a legal intern for global material sciences company W.L. Gore & Associates, where he prepared responses to domestic and foreign office actions and evaluated patents for risk.
