Overview

William Schwartz’ practice focuses on corporate restructuring. William applies his knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and related law to assist clients in achieving optimal results for both in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining Faegre Drinker, William clerked for two years in New York City bankruptcy courts: After completing a year-long clerkship for the Hon. Elizabeth S. Stong and Hon. Nancy Hershey-Lord in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, William clerked for a year with the Hon. John P. Mastando III in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Before law school, William worked as a Chinese patent translator for three years. He is also fluent in Spanish and French.

Personal Interests

In his free time, William enjoys playing volleyball and competes on the weekends in a New York City adult recreational volleyball league.
