Liz Scheibel helps clients protect their intellectual assets and their businesses. Liz works with clients in all phases of litigation, including strategizing for potential litigation. She brings expertise in research — both legal and non-legal — and a dedication to good writing to her practice.

Past Experience

During law school, Liz was an extern to Magistrate Judge Becky Thorson in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and to Judge Carol Hooten in the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She served as editor-in-chief of the Mitchell Hamline Law Review and president of the Women Law Students Association, and she volunteered as a court monitor with WATCH MN. Liz was also a summer associate at FaegreBD in 2016.

Before law school, Liz was a law librarian for a large Minneapolis law firm, serving the research and information needs of attorneys and staff across three locations and litigation and transactional practice groups. She also worked at Hennepin County Library, Minnesota State Law Library and the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library.

Personal Interests

Liz loves being outside, and her favorite outside activities are canoeing Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, playing ultimate Frisbee (though no longer competitively), and walking her husky mutt along Minnehaha Creek and Lake Nokomis. She is also passionate about nurturing her husband’s formidable cooking skills and watching World Cup soccer.
