Grace Rybak represents clients in complex commercial litigation in trial and appellate courts across the United States.
Trials & Dispute Resolution
Grace has deposed 15 plaintiffs and an expert witness in federal district court and has argued a motion to dismiss in New York state court. She has drafted dispositive motions and pleadings in a wide range of matters. Grace has also handled all stages of the discovery process, from managing document productions to drafting discovery motions. In arbitrations, she has prepared witnesses and drafted post-arbitration briefs.
Appeals
Grace has drafted merits briefs for appeals in the D.C. Circuit and Sixth Circuit, as well as in the South Carolina Supreme Court. While in law school, Grace participated in Stanford’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, where she contributed to certiorari-stage briefing involving constitutional law and statutory interpretation issues.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Grace clerked for Judge Cornelia T.L. Pillard of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and for Judge James S. Gwin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She worked for two years at a boutique law firm in Washington, D.C., focused on litigation.
Prior to law school, Grace was an elementary school teacher for five years in Minneapolis and in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Personal Interests
In her free time, Grace enjoys walking and biking along Minnehaha Creek and reading books with her young daughter.
