Overview
Litigator Joe Quinn advises and represents clients navigating the stages of product liability and traditional tort litigation, primarily in the agribusiness and food spaces. As part of his litigation practice, Joe also actively advises and represents clients across the media industry on a variety of First Amendment and free-speech related issues.
Joe is known for his ability to devise creative solutions for even the most complex problems, and actively seeks to understand and embrace changes in legal technology to best serve clients. No matter the case, his tireless work ethic and dynamic approach to each client’s unique situation help to advance the best possible outcomes.
AI Initiatives and Integration of New Technology
In addition to Joe’s litigation practice, he is also heavily involved with Faegre Drinker’s artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives and projects, many of which are aimed at exploring and expanding the ethical and efficient use of AI in both his practice and across the firm.
Joe routinely works with the firm’s innovation team and leaders of the Faegre Drinker Design Lab to test new tools and find ways to safely and ethically integrate AI and other new technology into his practice with the goal of delivering the most favorable results for clients. As part of this work, Joe often speaks and presents to audiences nationally on the use of AI within the legal profession.
Prior Experience
Joe served as a clerk for Chief Judge Scott Skavdahl of the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, where he assisted with hearings and civil and criminal trials.
During law school, he was a senior certified student prosecutor with the Nebraska Law Criminal Clinic, where Joe negotiated plea agreements and appeared in court to prosecute felonies and misdemeanors. He served as a summer associate in the litigation group of an Omaha-area law firm, and also led the Nebraska Community Legal Education Project — a student organization dedicated to educating the community about the law.
Before pursuing a legal career, Joe was an on-air sports radio host in Omaha, Nebraska.
Personal Interests
Joe is an avid Premier League fan and Chelsea F.C. supporter. He enjoys travelling internationally with his wife and playing his drums and guitars as often as he can. Joe also enjoys golfing, a good CrossFit workout and spending time with his kids.
