Overview
Annabella Peretti helps innovators protect and maximize the value of their intellectual property across the United States and abroad. With a technical background spanning mechanical, electromechanical, and biomechanical technologies, Annabella brings a practical, detail-driven approach to patent prosecution and portfolio development. She collaborates closely with attorneys, inventors, and foreign counsel to support efficient patent strategies that align with both business objectives and long-term growth.
Patent Prosecution & Strategic IP Support
Annabella prepares and prosecutes US patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and assists attorneys with patent-related matters. Her work includes conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate searches to assess technical and legal risk, advising on filing strategies, and translating new technologies into strong patent portfolios.
In addition, Annabella coordinates with foreign patent attorneys to help streamline international patent prosecution across global portfolios. She also assists with patent due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions, providing technical and portfolio-level analysis to support informed transactional decisions.
Prior Experience
Prior to becoming a registered patent agent, Annabella gained experience as both a technical specialist intern and a technical specialist with the firm, supporting patent prosecution matters and developing a strong foundation in technical analysis and patent drafting. In these roles, she worked closely with patent attorneys and patent agents to evaluate inventions, prepare application materials, and support prosecution strategies across a range of technologies.
Before entering the intellectual property field, Annabella gained hands-on engineering experience with a New Jersey utility provider, where she designed natural gas facilities and supported utility-scale infrastructure planning and engineering analysis.
Personal Interests
Outdoors, Annabella can be found golfing, hiking, spending time at the beach with family and friends, or seeking out her next favorite coffee shop. Indoors, she is an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoys reading, solving Sudoku puzzles, and following Formula 1 and motorsport engineering.
