Jackie completed case work-up for the Social Media Adolescent Addiction / Personal Injury Products Liability multidistrict litigation and Judicial Council Coordination Proceedings. Her work included factual development, deposition preparation, and deposition summary.
Medical Device Litigation
Jackie assists with medical device litigation across the nation. She completes factual investigation, assists with deposition preparation, and drafts briefs for bellwether selection.
Grain Arbitration
Jackie assists with briefing on grain arbitration matters before the National Grain and Feed Association, including on appeal.
Pro Bono Experience
Jackie enjoys pro bono work, with a focus on Seventh Circuit appeals and immigration law. She briefed and argued a financial fraud pro bono case before the Seventh Circuit. Her immigration work resulted in asylum obtained for a father and daughter from Mexico. She also completed an appeal on behalf of a Nigeran citizen before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Prior Experience
Jackie served for two years as a law clerk for the Hon. James I. Cohn of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to her clerkship, Jackie worked as a summer associate at the firm, where she composed memoranda on a broad variety of product liability matters, including for multidistrict litigation.
During law school, Jackie completed an externship with the Hon. Young B. Kim of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also served as a research and teaching assistant to three civil procedure professors.
Personal Interests
Jackie is a triplet with two brothers, and she enjoys spoiling her beloved nephew. She likes being outdoors, especially with her pup Galway at the beach or on a nature walk. Jackie loves all things Chicago, especially summertime, steakhouses, and comedy shows. She rowed Division I crew in college and now runs a half marathon each year. Jackie enjoys volunteering at her law school and serves as a moot court coach for the Jessup International Law team.
