Overview

In both state and federal court, Zack McConnell counsels clients across a range of business and commercial litigation disputes. He has argued and conducted motion practice, representing clients in trial courts across the United States and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Zack has represented clients, including those in highly regulated industries, in a variety of high-stakes complex commercial disputes including trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract and commercial development cases. His practice ranges from routine employment claims to “bet the company” multimillion-dollar contractual disputes.

His oral advocacy has resulted in favorable results for clients, including the recovery of attorney’s fees. Zack has experience across all stages of litigation including pleadings, discovery materials, dispositive motions, appellate briefs and motions for rehearing.

Zack’s practice focuses on approaching pressing legal needs while looking to the future to reduce the likelihood of dispute recurrence. With an ability to anticipate future needs, Zack has acted as counsel of record in disputes across the state of Texas and has served as co-counsel in various states across the nation including New York, Arizona, Georgia and Minnesota.

Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence

Zack possesses extensive knowledge of digital system security, digital marketing and data system architecture — having studied cybersecurity event response, cryptology and artificial intelligence at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. With a vast repository of digital knowledge, Zack has targeted wrongdoers’ digital footprints and elicited proof of wrongdoing that many attorneys would miss.

Prior Experience

During law school, Zack was a judicial intern to the Hon. Amos Mazzant of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and to the Hon. Martin Hoffman of the 68th Civil District Court in Dallas County.

Personal Interests

In his free time, Zack enjoys tackling home renovation projects, where he combines creativity and craftsmanship to transform spaces. He is also an active member of an adult dodgeball league, embracing teamwork and friendly competition.
