Faith I. Maggard advises clients as they navigate patent disputes, with experience in litigation regarding consumer goods, software and computer applications, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Faith's background ranges from pre-litigation matters, including cease-and-desist letters and patent clearance searches, to gearing up for trial and resolving cases through pre-trial motions. Faith is also equipped to file copyrights and trademarks, and to assist with litigation or portfolio management for other intellectual property including trade secrets, trade dress, etc.

Service Experience

Faith currently serves as a Judge Advocate General in the Army National Guard. Additionally, Faith serves as a mentor to pre-law students, having organized a pre-law program for diverse college students, featuring information sessions on applying to law school, meet-and-greets with local judges, and panel discussions with public and private sector attorneys. Faith also organized a name change clinic as a pro bono project during pride month. 

Previously, Faith served as student body president at Harvard Law School, liaising between the student body and the law school administration, particularly finding solutions that allowed students to fully experience law school while remaining safe during the height of COVID. Simultaneously, Faith served as a medic in the National Guard, working throughout the pandemic.

Prior Experience

During law school, Faith was a research assistant on a Harvard team advising clients on copyrights in their stories as Black descendants of infamous slave-owners. She also served as a teaching fellow in the real and intellectual property law department. 

Personal Interests

Faith is interested in travel, having been to 40 countries, and she is especially passionate about visiting various countries in the Middle East as an Arabic-speaker. Faith also enjoys cycle classes.
