Overview
William MacKinnon Morrow advises clients in commercial and other litigation matters. As an attorney, Will enjoys connecting the factual and legal dots to identify solutions that help deliver positive results for clients.
Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Will has litigated matters ranging from trade secrets disputes and consumer class actions to white collar criminal investigations and constitutional challenges to government actions. From fact discovery through the dispositive motion stage, he has represented clients in both defense- and plaintiff-side postures.
Pro Bono
Will has also maintained a vibrant pro bono practice working to secure the release of the wrongfully incarcerated, as well as advocating to restore voting rights for the disenfranchised.
Prior Experience
Will clerked for the Honorable Judge Nancy E. Brasel of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. In that role, Will assisted the court with administering multiple complex criminal and civil trials.
During law school, Will worked as both a summer associate at Faegre Drinker and as a law clerk with the Office of the General Counsel of the University of California, Office of the President.
Prior to law school, he conducted research as an academic fellow with the University of California Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement, building on his experiences defending student expression as the student-body president at the University of California, Berkeley. Will also has unique familiarity with the intersection of technology and communications, having previously worked as a senior digital strategist for a political media firm.
Personal Interests
Outside the office, Will enjoys cheering on the Minnesota Timberwolves, riding public transit, and taking his 10-year-old border collie-husky for walks along the Mississippi River.
