Overview

Jack Leon counsels clients in litigation and dispute resolution. Jack is well-versed in legal research and drafting court documents and legal memoranda. He manages discovery production and review, and deposes fact and expert witnesses.

Jack’s experience includes:

  • Uncovering instances of image manipulation in a plaintiff’s expert’s academic materials, and helping prepare experts’ reports and deposition and trial testimony, which led to a voluntary dismissal of the plaintiff’s key expert witness.
  • Drafting the opening statement, closing argument and plaintiff’s cross-examination, and communicating directly with in-house counsel on strategy and status updates as part of the trial team in a toxic tort litigation.
  • Managing discovery production and review, and drafting motions opposing consolidation, motions to compel discovery and a motion to strike portions of an opposing expert’s reports.
  • Drafting motions for interlocutory appeal and reconsideration, motions in limine, a cross-examination outline, and a memorandum on viability of claims as part of a misappropriation of trade secrets trial team, leading to a $100 million verdict for the client.
  • Drafting motions to dismiss and to reply, and a settlement agreement regarding breach of contract, fraud and unjust enrichment claims stemming from a merger agreement.
  • Deposing fact and expert defense witnesses, drafting a motion for summary judgment, and managing discovery requests and production in connection with a § 1983 prisoner’s rights case.
