Overview

Alexander Hook counsels clients in litigation and dispute resolution.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Alexander served as a law clerk to Justices Daniel J. Crothers and Mark A. Friese of the North Dakota Supreme Court, where he researched complex legal issues and drafted memoranda and judicial opinions. Earlier, he gained judicial experience as a legal extern for the Honorable Annie P. Claesson-Huseby of Minnesota's Ninth Judicial District, conducting legal research and assisting with the preparation of court rulings and orders.

During law school, Alexander worked as a summer law clerk in the Antitrust Division of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, researching and drafting memoranda related to ongoing litigation and antitrust enforcement matters involving state and federal authorities. He also served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Corporation Law, managing a team of student editors and collaborating with legal scholars on publication efforts.

Before law school, Alexander worked for RDO Equipment Company as a customer data specialist, where he analyzed sales and market trends and developed predictive analytics tools that contributed to significant revenue growth. This combination of judicial, government, academic, and business experience provides him with a well-rounded perspective on legal problem-solving and client service.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Alexander enjoys being active and can regularly be found playing hockey or tennis, cycling on Des Moines’ fantastic trails, or refining his golf game. He also enjoys watching his favorite college teams, including Bulldog Hockey and Hawkeyes Football. Outside of sports, he enjoys playing chess, learning guitar, exploring new cuisines, and discussing film with friends.
