Overview

Jacob Hauschild supports health care stakeholders as they seek solutions in a variety of legal matters.

Prior Experience 

Jacob served as a legal extern for the American Health Law Association, where he contributed to the publication of books and articles addressing telemedicine, mental health parity and vaccination mandates in the wake of COVID-19. His recent publication, “Social Distancing With Your Doctor: Telemedicine, Asynchronous Technology, and How to Pay for It,” explores reimbursement for telemedicine services, primarily within Medicaid and Medicare.

As a research assistant at the University of Minnesota Law School, Jacob worked extensively in the areas of neuroimaging technology and international bioethics. He also provided legal services to patients at a St. Paul health clinic, including guidance on housing, employment and immigration concerns. Jacob also has experience in health care policy from his time with a Minnesota nonprofit dedicated to health care access for uninsured individuals and families. He advocated to lawmakers on the organization’s behalf regarding the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid and public program technology systems.
