Overview

Isra Haider counsels clients in litigation and dispute resolution.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Isra served as a judicial law clerk to Justice Christopher M. Goff of the Indiana Supreme Court, where she conducted legal research, drafted transfer and bench memoranda, and assisted in preparing appellate opinions. Earlier, she externed for Senior Judge Sarah Evans Barker of the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, researching legal issues, drafting orders, and observing federal court proceedings, including trials, plea hearings, and sentencing hearings.

During law school, Isra gained experience in both appellate advocacy and private practice. As a certified legal intern in Indiana University McKinney School of Law's Appellate Clinic, she represented an indigent client in a criminal appeal before the Indiana Court of Appeals, managing client communications and drafting appellate briefs, while also supporting fellow clinic students. Isra also spent two summers as a summer associate with Faegre Drinker, where she researched and drafted memoranda on matters involving business litigation, product liability, health care regulation, corporate law, intellectual property, and pro bono issues.

In addition, Isra served as an adjunct professor at Indiana University McKinney School of Law, teaching legal research, analysis, writing, and advocacy to first-year law students. Prior to law school, she conducted academic research in sociology and biomedical sciences, contributing to projects focused on public health. These experiences honed her analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills and continue to inform her approach to legal practice.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Isra can be found spending time with family and friends, visiting parks, cheering on Indiana sports, and trying out amateur photography. She is also a former 500 Festival Princess and enjoys watching the Indy 500 every May.
