Overview

Kirsten Elfstrand helps clients advance their goals through resolving IP-related issues, including patent litigation. Kirsten has worked on several cases that have gone to trial in a variety of federal jurisdictions. Recent trial victories that Kirsten worked on include a complete defense jury verdict in a billion-dollar patent infringement jury trial in Pittsburgh (2022) and a complete defense jury verdict in a $243 million trademark infringement jury trial in Los Angeles (2023).

Prior Experience

Kirsten rejoined Faegre Drinker after clerking for Judge Susan Richard Nelson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. During her clerkship, Kirsten gained valuable insight into court proceedings and judicial preferences.

Kirsten first started with Faegre Drinker as a summer associate, where she conducted research and drafted memos and motions on a variety of litigation projects, focusing on intellectual property, business litigation and products liability litigation.
