Frances M. Daniels
Associate
Overview
Frances Daniels helps clients solve complex problems at the intersection of product liability, agricultural law, and business law. She brings a practical, interdisciplinary perspective to matters involving highly regulated industries, technical facts, and business-critical risk.
Product Liability Counseling & Litigation
Frances works with clients facing issues across the litigation life cycle that resolve in pre-suit settlement, arbitration, and litigation. She has deep experience litigating disputes involving complex scientific, medical, and technical evidence.
Clients benefit from Frances's background that has strengthened her ability to understand business and legal problems from multiple angles. Before law school, she worked as a paramedic and provided individualized instruction for students with special education needs — experiences that sharpened her judgment under pressure, trained her to communicate clearly with people facing difficult circumstances, and deepened her appreciation for evidence-based problem solving.
That background complements her work for clients whose matters require both careful legal analysis and a practical understanding of how decisions affect people, operations, and long-term business objectives. It also gives her a strong foundation for distilling complex medical, scientific, educational, and operational issues into clear, persuasive advocacy.
Prior Experience
Before joining Faegre Drinker, Frances clerked for Judge Matthew E. Johnson, Judge Diane B. Bratvold, and Judge (now Justice) Theodora Gaïtas of the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where she analyzed arguments, conducted legal research, prepared legal memoranda, and helped draft judicial decisions.
Personal Interests
In her free time, Frances enjoys backpacking, hiking, running, traveling, and reading. She also enjoys amateur pursuits in mycology and beekeeping.
