Property Tax Appeals & Disputes
Chris is highly skilled in assessment valuation methodologies and Indiana property tax exemption mechanics. In addition, he tracks ongoing legislative discussion and action to understand the potential impacts for clients.
At Faegre Drinker, Chris supports associates and partners with the technical and procedural aspects of appeal review, including appeal filing, valuation research, and facilitating communication between clients and government officials.
Prior Experience
For 12 years, Chris served the Tippecanoe County (Indiana) Assessor's Office as an appeal specialist and project manager. In this role, he was also the primary adviser to the Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals on property tax exemption matters.
Personal Interests
In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two golden retrievers, going camping and kayaking, playing board games with family and friends, and reading fiction, mostly fantasy or sci-fi. He loves the mountains of Colorado and is always planning his next ski trip to Breckenridge.
