Litigation
Stephanie represents companies in wage-and-hour class and PAGA representative actions and has extensive experience successfully compelling these matters to arbitration, defeating class certification, and obtaining dismissal through dispositive motion practice. She has also successfully defended clients in sensitive single-plaintiff matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and failure to accommodate claims, often resolving these matters early and on favorable terms.
In addition to her experience litigating employment law matters, Stephanie has represented companies in complex commercial and securities litigation matters.
Compliance & Investigations
Utilizing her strong judgment and common-sense approach, Stephanie helps clients minimize exposure by assisting them with developing appropriate policies, employee handbooks, and best practices. Stephanie also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations involving employment and other regulatory issues, including potential violations of securities laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and anti-money laundering laws. She has also advised on investigations by the U.S. Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), California Civil Rights Department, U.S. Department of Justice, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Personal Interests
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys traveling, hiking with her dog, yoga, cooking, and music. Stephanie also mentors UCLA college students interested in pursuing a career in law.
