Jonathon Gunn Comments on UK’s National Security & Investment Act With IFLR

In “UK’s NSI Act Ignites AI Discourse,” IFLR turned to corporate associate Jonathon Gunn for his commentary on United Kingdom Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden’s “call for evidence,” which aims to refine the National Security & Investment (NSI) Act’s investment screening powers for business transparency.

According to the article, a fair assessment of the NSI Act may lead to a similar exemption list for businesses using artificial intelligence. Gunn highlighted that exempting liquidators and official receivers from mandatory notifications would be a positive step.

“Any revisions which move away from a catch-all approach to a more carefully targeted screening regime would be welcome,” Gunn noted.
