PDLG—20 Years Later, and There’s Still a Pressing Need for Group

Faegre Drinker chief diversity officer and co-president of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group (PDLG) Maria Lewis coauthored an article with Leslie John, fellow PDGL co-president, for The Legal Intelligencer titled “PDLG—20 Years Later, and There’s Still a Pressing Need for Group.”

The authors share about the PDLG turning 20 years old and how the reasons the PDLG was formed in 2001 remain true today – the pressing need to foster participation of a more diverse group of lawyers in the Greater Philadelphia region in order to make our legal profession stronger, more productive, and more equitable and inclusive.

The article highlights the PDLG’s flagship Fellows Program, the PDLG alumni association, the Advocate/Protégé Program and other programming the organization has developed, executed or grown in the past 20 years and their positive impact.
