Attracting and Retaining Neurodiverse Talent: A Global Perspective

Labor and employment partner Erika Collins coauthored an article for the New York Law Journal titled, “Attracting and Retaining Neurodiverse Talent: A Global Perspective.”

The article highlights how employers have begun to develop and implement programs to support neurodiverse candidates and employees and outlines seven elements most neurodiversity initiatives have in common. Some of the elements the article dives into include using nontraditional, non-interview-based assessment and training processes, training managers, and implementing a support system.

The article also shares how specific countries have approached supporting neurodiverse individuals, such as how the German government created publicly funded positions that support the retention of neurodiverse employees. The authors note how country-specific efforts may be instructive to employers who are considering how to implement neurodiversity programs, as well as provide other considerations for those interested in creating a program.
