Private Target Mergers-and-Acquisitions Deal Point Study

M&A/Private Equity partner John Stoddard is a contributor to the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s 2019 edition of the Private Target M&A Deal Points Study. John led the Drinker Biddle team in the preparation of the study, including the efforts of Los Angeles associate Kyle Jaep and Philadelphia associates Meaghan Lane, Kyle Loder and Roni Mathew.

The study analyzes 151 acquisitions of private targets by public companies, with transaction values between $17–500 million, executed or completed in 2018 and the first quarter of 2019. The study is widely used by M&A practitioners, investment bankers, corporate development teams and other advisors. The 2019 edition also includes more data points with new representations on #metoo, data privacy and cybersecurity, as well as more correlations, including how R&W insurance is changing the M&A playing field.
