Gerald Hathaway and Lynne Anderson Quoted by SHRM in Series on Layoffs and WARN Act

According to SHRM, the trade war between the United States and China, plus the length of time that has passed since the last recession, have CEOs and HR leaders wondering when the next recession will be. However, even if the economy is strong, layoffs occur more often than one might think.

In its extensive series, SHRM turned to Labor and Employment partners Gerald Hathaway and Lynne Anderson for insight into common reasons why businesses lay off employees.

Hathaway is quoted throughout the series on topics ranging from layoff strategy to when reductions in force go wrong. Both he and Anderson commented on WARN Act dos and don’ts.
