Brian Garrison discussed The National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) desire to identify what constitutes joint employment in an article for HR Daily Advisor. Following a recent announcement, the new rule aims to return to a more employer-friendly standard than has been in place recently. Garrison cautions that employers need to realize if they are exercising direct control over another employer's employee's, they will be seen as being in a joint-employment relationship and will face joint-employer liability.
