Marc Leaf Quoted in Business Insurance on the SEC

New York Corporate and Securities partner Marc Leaf was quoted in a Business Insurance article titled “SEC signals tougher stance on cyber security,” which examined a recent SEC report on cyber-related fraud cases and indications of future fines.

“It’s actually a very smart and helpful thing that the SEC has done,” said Marc. “I actually would like to see them do more of that, rather than hitting people with a fine or an enforcement action that carries serious penalties.” He added that the SEC is not issuing new rules here and that the rules referred to in the report “have been on the books since 1977.”
