Lucie Guyot and Brian Schnell Co-Author Chapter in The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Franchise 2015

Lucie Guyot, counsel, and Brian Schnell, partner and franchise and distribution practice leader at Faegre Baker Daniels, co-authored a chapter in The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Franchise 2015, published by the Global Legal Group. The book provides practical cross-border insight into franchise law with chapters on more than 24 countries. Guyot and Schnell’s chapter covers U.S. franchise law. They explain the legal definition of a franchise, detail the U.S. laws that regulate franchises, as well as franchise registration requirements. Competition law, intellectual property issues, liability, governing law, real estate, online trading, and labor and employment issues are also covered with respect to franchising in the U.S., among other topics.
