Alex Denny Tells Professional Adviser how Towry Put Clients Back on the Map

Towry v. Raymond James continues to have an impact on adviser-client relationships. In Professional Adviser, Alex Denny, leader of the London labor and employment group, was quoted saying that the case has resulted in a direct conflict between the Financial Conduct Authority's treating customers fairly (TCF) initiatives and the goal to protect someone's business interest by using non-dealing clauses.

"The case that put clients back on the map," said Denny, "has led to an increase in the use of clauses that prevent client choice."
